Converting Linux to Windows - <syslog.h>

Hi group,

I am a newbie when it comes to using Visual C++ .NET and I have a question I
hope you can help me with.

To log system events on Linux, I am using <syslog.h> but I cannot find a
equivalent for Windows. Any thoughts where to look, or how to circumvent
this?

This is my first post in this group, so please be gentle.
